Canteen!
This will offer cold drinks (water, sports drinks, coke, soft drinks, V, red bull, etc) sealed snacks (chips, nuts) and sweets (chocolate, snakes, etc) as well as the usual assortment of hot drinks (coffee, tea, instant coffee, etc) — all this with the convenience of being on the con site!
Schnitzels and burgers and lattes, Oh My!
If you need sustenance of a less theoretical nature, Daramalan is only a quick scene change away from Dickson shops (5-10 minutes walk or 2 minutes drive and finding a park). Dickson shops include a Woolies, Maccas, KFC, Ali Baba's, several takeaways, a couple of cafes (with internet access) and more Chinese and SE Asian restaurants than you can shake a stick at (my arm got tired after five). Dickson shops also includes autotellers, a chemist, a news agent, and service stations.
The Banquet
The banquet this year is at TurkOZ, at 48 Challis Street in Dickson. They can cater for all dietary requirements (yes, we do mean all), provided you tell us when you book your banquet tickets. Banquet entry this year will be restricted to 100 places only. This will keep the noise levels manageable (so you can hear what our President is saying) and keep the crowd down (to make it easier for you to get to the bar).
Beervana
Post-con drinkies will be held at O’Neill’s Irish Pub. They have Guinness and other stuff. You can get snacks from $5 and dinner from $10 — they have a variety of yummy stuff on their menu and their kitchen will be open until 9pm.
